Lawal Jimeta has assumed office in the Edo Command of the Nigerian Police Force as the new commissioner of police.

News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), reports that Mr Jimeta officially took over from outgone CP, Mohammed DanMalam, now an Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG).

Mr Lawal Jimeta was former Commissioner, Police Mobile, Abuja and the 41st commissioner of police in the history of the command.
